Almond Christmas Balls will be your Holiday Favorite! Santa gobbles them up, Kids LOVE making them and you’ll be so happy serving them!
Well, it’s that time of year when we are all in the last minute scramble of the Holidays. This year I’m looking for easy ways out – we still want to have delicious treats and so much fun, but if I can make any of my normal holiday chores easier? It’s happening. Enter the Almond Christmas Balls. They are so simple to make, but they offer such a wonderful Christmas Flavor – they are amazing and Santa will LOVE THESE!
I’m 100% dutch in heritage, and my family bakes like Dutch people (I think – I’ve been told my whole life it’s dutch recipes that we are using). So we LOVE Almond flavor and things like Almond Paste or Marzipan…These balls have that amazing flavor without all of the hard work of making something like the famous Dutch Treat Banketstaaf (it’s my favorite but it’s SO MUCH WORK). Almond Christmas Balls give me the idea of banketstaaf without ANY of the work – it’s amazing.
I am starting to consider myself the No Bake or Truffle Queen…I love making them, my kids love eating them – so I make a lot of them. Let me give you some tips to making amazing no bake balls!
Tips to making No Bake Balls or No Bake Truffles:
- If the dough gets too warm – refrigerate until chilled before trying to roll into balls
- Flour your hands before rolling dough
- Refrigerate balls before decorating
- Keep in fridge until ready to serve
They are easy once you get the knack of it.
