Pumpkin OREO Balls are the perfect autumn treat! With the great flavor of pumpkin and Golden OREO cookies, you know this fall no-bake dessert is great!
Pumpkin OREO Balls
I’m continuously looking for new ways to jazz up old recipes. Do you do that too? No one wants the same dessert, dinner or snack for the next 50 years.
I like to try to re-invent what I’m making and the easy way to do that is just to switch out a few things! Anyone else do this, or is it just me?
That’s how I stumbled onto making Pumpkin OREO Balls. I mean it’s SOOO easy to make my favorite treat of OREO Balls into a Pumpkin/Fall/Thanksgiving dessert.
My kids think I’m amazing because this is something they have never tasted before and I just know that I’m awesome. Yes, I’m also humble (hahahaha).
I’m going to give you 2 choices in which cookies you can use for Pumpkin OREO Balls. Golden (or yellow) OREO’s are yummy and make the recipe good.
It’s not overwhelmingly pumpkin in taste so if you have someone that isn’t HUGE on pumpkin – go ahead and use those (I don’t know who those weirdos are that don’t like pumpkin – ahem my husband but this is the best option if you have one of those in your family).
Option 2 is to use Pumpkin Spice OREO’s and you’ll get a much more intense pumpkin flavor! Either way, you’re going to love it.
One more note – this is a biggy – I literally froze my batter for about 30-45 minutes. You can put it in the fridge or freezer – but please put it somewhere for it to stiffen up. PLEASE! 🙂
I freeze because I just want to make it go as fast as possible – and I like the dough to be stiff a bit – you can certainly use the refrigerator but please note it make take longer to get the dough acceptable to roll into balls!
