Sesame Cilantro Lime Shrimp
Time for one of my very favorite events…FREAKY FRIDAY! This is an event where some of our blogging buddies get together every few months.
Each of us is assigned another blog from the group and we choose a recipe from that site to make our own. Everyone reveals their creations at the same time, always a great event with deliciousness galore!
This round I was assigned…An Affair from the Heart, yes our very own Michaela (she’s kind of our ringleader, hee hee)! I’ve been following Michaela’s delicious recipes for years.
Without even looking at her site for a recipe I easily could recall her Award Winning Crack Dip and Grown Up Orange Julius, I’ve been drooling over these recipes on social media for years. Michaela is a busy mom of 4 who makes amazing recipes, recipes that are simple yet deliver big flavor.

I ultimately chose a recipe that would fit into my current dietary plan. I’m trying very hard to stick to a ‘clean eating’ program. Michaela had a lovely shrimp dish on her site and that’s what I went with, and boy did I choose a winner!
Introducing: Sesame Cilantro Lime Shrimp, a deliciously simple meal that comes together in a snap! Michaela served this tasty dish over rice, I chose to make some simple Zoodles (zucchini noodles) to serve as the bed for this amazing dish. This simple change kept me on track and was a great addition to the dish.
This dish was unbelievably well-received by my husband and teenage son, in fact, it was devoured! I personally loved mine with a big old squeeze of fresh lime juice, it brought another layer of flavor to this dish.
This wonderful meal is going into my meal rotation. It was easy, filling and flavor-loaded…what more could I ask for? A winner in my book indeed!

Need more shrimp in your life? Try these delicious recipes:
- 1 lb peeled & de-veined shrimp
- 2 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup Asian sesame dressing
- Lime wedges
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- In large skillet heat olive oil over medium heat. Add shrimp and dressing, saute until shrimps turn pink, approximately 2-3 minutes. Stirring occasionally.
- Serve immediately over rice or zoodles.
- Sprinkle with chopped cilantro & a squeeze of fresh lime juice.
