Amaretto Apple Cider Cocktail
Apple season in Michigan is simply the best! We always load into the car at least once during the season and head to a local cider mill. The one we choose is Parshallville Cider Mill in Livingston County Michigan. Built in 1869 it is one of the few remaining water-powered mills in Michigan. It is a short drive from our house and makes the perfect location to pick up a gallon of orchard-fresh apple cider and some freshly made donuts. There’s nothing like a glass or mug of seasonally fresh apple cider during the autumn months. As much as I love hot apple cider on a chilly fall day, I never pass up apple cider that’s cold and delicious. Do you remember my Caramel Apple Cider Float? Delicious ice cream and cider treat, you need to give it a try!
I have big plans for the gallon that I purchased last week. Plans include a pork loin and the crockpot along with some apple cider and fresh apples. In the meantime, I’m sharing a wonderful cocktail that’s just perfect for the holiday season.
Introducing the amazing Amaretto Apple Cider Cocktail! You may be thinking to yourself, Amaretto? Yes! Once again Amaretto appears in one of my creations, I absolutely love the flavor it brings to desserts and of course adult beverages.
Amaretto blends wonderfully with apple cider, and guess what? It blends very nicely with caramel too. And we all know that caramel and apple cider go hand in hand beautifully. Three simple ingredients that’s all you need: Amaretto, apple cider & caramel sauce, that’s it!
Now’s here a bonus…this is wonderful COLD or HOT! If you heat this up in the microwave and serve it in a fancy glass mug you have a warm boozy fall drink!
Serve these for Thanksgiving, they are a celebration of fall flavors that your guests will love! Now tell me what’s your favorite way to enjoy the bounty of fall flavors?
