Chocolate and peanut butter lovers these are for you! 3 Layer Peanut Butter Brownies bring the best of both worlds together in one amazing dessert.
These brownies are amazing. I had made these (also amazing so try them too), but I wanted to continue with my chocolate and peanut butter obsession (Lori has it too) so I changed things up a bit and came up with these.
They are delicious and you have to try them (they are also really easy for the taste – people will be amazed and you’ll be like it was a ton of work – but no no it wasn’t!)
3 Layer Peanut Butter Brownies
Ingredients
Bottom layer
- 1 1/4 C flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 C butter, softened
- 1/2 C creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 C sugar
- 1/2 C brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
Middle layer
- 1 package of Nutter Butter Cookies
Top Layer
- 1 family size box of brownies mixed as per boxed instructions
Instructions
Bottom Layer
- In a large bowl combine flour, salt, powder, soda and set aside
- Beat together butter and peanut butter until smooth
- Add in sugars beating again until blended
- Mix in egg and vanilla
- Stir in flour mixture until well mixed
- Spray (or use parchment paper) 9x13 inch pan generously with non-stick cooking spray
- Place dough in pan evenly
Middle Layer
- Place Nutter Butter cookies in end to end topping all of the cookie dough
Top Layer
- Pour Brownie batter over Nutter Butters
Baking
- Cover with tin foil
- Bake at 350 for 35 minutes
- Remove foil and bake for another 15-25 minutes
- If brownies aren't set after 25 minutes it's ok take them out they will finish setting up while they cool
- Let cool completely and serve

Omigosh, putting nutter butters in brownies is such a cool idea! I bet they make an awesome texture profile with the chewy brownie and cookie dough base. They look amazing.
