Lunchbox Creamy Fruit Salad is a great way to send some of your kids’ favorites in their lunch. Customize with your family favorite flavors for a win!
Lunchbox packing time is here! The kids are heading back to class and mom needs to get organized for daily lunch packing. I want to make sure that I’m packing everything my kids need to enjoy a satisfying lunch while they are away during the day at school.
School days for even young kids are now very long days. If you include the time spent on the bus before and after school some kids are away from home around 8-9 hours. Factor in additional after-school extracurricular activities and the day just gets longer for these growing bodies.
What I pack into their lunchboxes is critical. Knowing that they will actually eat and enjoy what I pack for them is important. Spend any time in a school lunchroom and you’ll soon see that most kids (not just your own) are very particular about what they will eat and what they will not. My goal is to send the winning combinations in their lunches and not worry whether or not they are eating what I send.
A well-stocked fridge and pantry are really helpful for packing lunchbox essentials. It helps you quickly gather items together and get those hungry kids fed. I prefer to send them some variety in their lunchboxes including something with protein which will truly tide them over until dinner is served.
While shopping at Meijer, I purchased Marvel Avengers String Cheese Twists, the perfect addition for lunches. They also make a really convenient after-school snack when they arrive home with the hangries and dinner isn’t quite ready to eat.
As a mom, I feel good about my kids snacking on Marvel Avengers String Cheese Twists since they are delicious, made with milk and are an excellent source of calcium. You can find Marvel Avengers String Cheese Twists in the dairy section or snacking cheese section at Meijer.
Along with Marvel Avengers String Cheese Twists, I include the components for an easy Lunchbox Creamy Fruit Salad. Now I’ve been packing school lunches for 15+ years and I’ve learned from trial and error through the years. My kids love fruit and they love yogurt. At home, they mix these two items together all the time.
In a lunchbox though, I found the mixture became too watery. My solution was to buy a large tub of vanilla yogurt and place a small amount into a reusable container. Into another reusable container, I place cut fruit chunks. The fruit can easily be mixed into the yogurt to make a delicious mixture without becoming watery.
We also pack Marvel Avengers String Cheese Twists into our cooler when we are traveling. It is a great on-the-go snack for kids and adults. A wholesome snack choice that definitely fills the gap between meals. Older kids in our family grab Marvel Avengers String Cheese Twists as they are heading out the door. They are truly enjoyed by all members of our family.
Easy lunchbox prep is something that you can easily do with some very simple planning. Fresh fruits, crackers, yogurts, muffins, and Marvel Avengers String Cheese Twists are lunchbox essentials that I try to always have on hand. My sanity is saved when I know lunchbox packing one of the easier parts of getting my kids ready and heading out the door on busy weekday mornings.
