Make these deliciously easy Apple Bourbon Pulled Pork Sliders with Slaw! Perfect for game day spreads or for an easy meal anytime. You’ll love them!
Have you ever wanted to hug your slow cooker? I definitely have! I’ve lost count of the times that this invaluable small kitchen appliance has helped me pull off a delicious dinner on busy nights. I’m sure you’ve seen posts where I’ve mentioned my slow cooker love before, but once again my slow cooker has knocked it out of the park with these Apple Bourbon Pulled Pork Sliders with Slaw. A crazy busy night was saved and my slow cooker helped me create a meal my family loved.
My slow cooker had a wonderful helper that also deserves credit, easy to use Campbell’s Sauces. Have you tried these? They help make slow cooker meals easier and more delicious, I wasn’t sure that was even possible, but it truly is! In this recipe I used the Apple Bourbon Pulled Pork variety and it was amazing! All I did was literally open the package and pour it onto the pork loin inside my slow cooker. Doesn’t get much easier than that!
The flavors were perfect, and blended very well with the tangy slaw I prepared for these sliders. The pork gently slow cooked away all day in the Campbell’s Sauces, my kitchen smelled wonderful. When the pork was finished cooking, I simply removed it from the slow cooker and shredded it with 2 large forks, it was literally fork tender. After shredding the pork, it gets placed back into the slow cooker and mixed in with the sauce.
Don’t let these sliders intimidate you! They easily come together and are perfect for busy nights. Once you have cooked the pork in the Campbell’s Sauces and shredded, you’ll need to get the slaw mixed together. Simply dice your apple and mix all the ingredients together. The slaw is a bit tangy and crunchy which tastes great over the sweetness of the pulled pork. You can slightly toast your slider buns under the broiler in your oven if you desire. This is an optional step but a preference that my family enjoys.
Added bonus to this recipe, you can easily feed a crowd by doubling or even tripling the slaw and bun portion of this recipe.
