Slow Cooker Creamy Chicken & Noodles
There’s no mistaking the fact that from time to time I need a meal that’s straight up comfort food! I’m talking carbs, butter, the whole shebang! You know the type of meal I’m talking about: stick to your ribs, fill up your belly, I’ll think about healthy food tomorrow type of meal.
Now I don’t make this type of meal very often, but when I do, oh boy…DELISH! A perfect example of comfort food is this Slow Cooker Creamy Chicken & Noodles recipe! You’re gonna love how easy this dish is to prepare!
Now Grandma may have had time to spend preparing her chicken & noodles completely from scratch. I don’t have time for that, no sir!
What I do have time for is a simple slow cooker dish that will give me similar end results! I’m sure you’ll agree this meal is satisfying and delicious with the added bonus that it didn’t keep you tied down to the kitchen all day.
You can get this dish into your slow cooker in a matter of minutes. Let it slow cook away all day long, you’ll smell the comforting aromas wafting through your house.
I prefer to use frozen egg noodles in this dish, these are substantial and are just the perfect touch to this hearty dish. Customize this as you wish though, throw in matchstick carrot sticks, frozen peas, celery or even roasted garlic.
Now to really throw you into carb-overload, serve over creamy mashed potatoes and dive right in! I’ve also served this over biscuits and it is amazing! Add more seasonings if your family prefers, I keep mine simple, my kids are fussy eaters that I’m still catering to them while they are little.
The last time I prepared this, it was a very cold and snowy Sunday and it was the perfect dish. Hearty, satisfying and downright comforting! I hope you enjoy this as much as we did, it’s my go-to comfort food of choice.

- 1.5 lbs chicken breasts, boneless & skinless
- 2 10 oz cans Cream of Celery condensed soup
- 30 oz. chicken broth
- 1/2 t ground pepper
- 1/4 t salt
- 24 oz. package frozen Reames Egg Noodles
- Spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Mix together condensed soup, chicken broth, pepper and salt. Pour 1/2 into bottom of slow cooker, add chicken, pour remaining soup mixture over chicken.
- Place lid on slow cooker and cook on low 6 hours. Remove chicken breasts and shred or chop into small chunks. Place back into slow cooker along with frozen noodles.
- Turn slow cooker on high and cook for an additional hour.

You may use Cream of Mushroom soup if desired. Regular egg noodles may be used, reduce end cook time to 1/2 an hour.
