Parmesan Herb Slow Cooker Corn on the Cob is an easy and flavorful way to prepare this summertime favorite.   I’m not a fan of messy food preparation, not.at.all!!!

This method of prep is really easy and not messy. That’s only one of the reasons I like this recipe.  The other reason is that even though summer is a time of supposed leisure, some summer days are just so busy that you need to get parts of dinner done ahead of time.  Setting the timer on your slow cooker is such a beautiful thing!  I know that dinner is preparing while I’m out enjoying the day.

I simply ripped pieces of aluminum foil right off the roll, but since this post I picked up the pre-cut sheets of aluminum foil at the dollar store.  Please be careful opening up the foil wrapped corn on the cob after removing from your slow cooker, it will be incredibly hot.

Parmesan Herb Slow Cooker Corn on the Cob

Ingredients

  • 6 ears corn on the cob
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 t oregano or Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 t Lawry's Seasoned Salt
  • 1/4 t garlic salt
  • 1/4 t onion powder

Instructions

  1. Tear 6 pieces of aluminum foil approximately in 12" sections. Lay ears of corn in center of each piece of aluminum foil.
  2. Mix together olive oil, cheese & seasonings.
  3. Brush ears of corn with parmesan herb mixture, covering all sides.
  4. Seal corn in aluminum foil, making sure to seal well. Place into slow cooker (I used a 6 quart) and cover.
  5. Cook on low 4-5 hours. Please note all makes/models of slow cookers heat differently, check near end of cooking time to make sure corn does not burn.
  6. Carefully take ears of corn out of slow cooker, they will be extremely hot. Use caution opening aluminum foil.
