Movie night isn’t movie night without amazing snacks. Making Easy S’Mores and Taco Meatballs is a sure way to have movie night be a hit!

Fun Family Movie Night!

Sometimes you just need to celebrate right? Well, thanks to not spending all of my tax refund dollars on a phone upgrade – THANKS Walmart Family Mobile Plus Plan and my new Samsung Galaxy On5 I am CELEBRATING!  I love my new phone, I love my phone plan, and I wanted to celebrate with my family! Keep reading I’m going to talk about making Family Movie Night extra fun, using your tax refund money wisely and just giving yourself a reason to celebrate!

Walmart Family Mobile 2

I’m in LOVE with my new Samsung Galaxy On5 that I bought at Walmart (to use with Walmart Family Mobile Plus). I was also in love with the price! Regular Price? $119 – which is awesome…want to hear something more awesome? It’s on Rollback for $69.00! I purchased the phone and the required SIM Kit to activate ($19.88) for UNDER $100! Since Family Mobile bills you later, you only have to pay $19.88 when you sign up. You guys you can’t beat that!

Walmart Family Mobile 1

Not only is my new phone a completely reasonable price (I didn’t spend all my tax refund in one purchase – I WIN!), but my Walmart Family Mobile Plus plan is amazing and completely in my budget. I get  Unlimited* Talk, Text, & Data and a free movie credit on VUDU every month ($7 value) for $49.88 per month, per line. HELLO! That’s amazing right? (*Includes up to 10GB of 4G LTE† data then 2G)

  • Disclaimer: All prices for phones and plans included in this post are accurate as of the date of posting; however, these prices are subject to change. Please refer to http://cbi.as/7e-jr or your local Walmart for current pricing.

My service is truly great and I’m so happy that I get a VUDU movie that I save every month for Family Movie Night at home with my kiddos (This is why I have a smart tv right?) Since we do Family Movie Night once a month I wanted to make this month special – I’m celebrating not being broke at the end of buying a new phone! How did I make it special? Let’s get to it!

Taco Meatballs 3

Instead of JUST having some popcorn (don’t worry we had some but that wasn’t it) I decided to whip out some decorations and make this a true party for my boys and me! If your kids (and husband) are like mine, some fun themed decorations and some fun snacks make for a true party. I’m not kidding you guys. I put ice and lemon in a glass of water and call it party water and my boys are in – they love it. So keep it simple – we are celebrating, not going broke!

Taco Meatballs 4

I put out our “fancy” decorations and put out some of our favorite snacks. Then I made two delish (and easy) recipes and an amazing Family Movie Night was born. You guys know me – it doesn’t have to take days to get ready for a fun party. We did this party with just our family, but easy decorations, easy recipes can be done for any party!

Easy S'mores

My first EASY recipe is Easy S’Mores. I don’t have a fire pit, so S’mores are always hard to come by – and my kids LOVE THEM! This is a perfect Movie Night Snack – and so fun!

Easy S'mores 1

All you need to make Easy S’Mores is:

  • Graham Crackers
  • Chocolate Bars
  • Marshmallow Fluff

Simple spread fluff on 2 pieces of graham crackers and place a piece of chocolate bar on top of one piece. Combine into a sandwich.

Taco Meatballs 6

Since I had a treat, now it was time for a savory snack! Taco Meatballs are just amazing you guys. It gives you all of that Taco Taste with out the actual taco. I had fun making (and eating) these. (PS this is great for movie night AND things like Taco Tuesdays!)

Taco Meatballs 1

To make Taco Meatballs you’ll need:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 C bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1-2 tsp cumin
  • 3/4 C taco sauce (I used mild)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Taco Meatballs 2

  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees!
  • Hand mix all ingredients and roll into 1 inch balls.
  • Spray cookie sheet or baking pan with non-stick cooking spray and place balls in
  • Bake uncovered for 15 minutes
  • Serve topped with Sour Cream and Tomatoes or your favorite taco toppings

Taco Meatballs

All I need to know is when are you buying your new Samsung Galaxy ON5 and staring your new Walmart Family Mobile Plus Plan??? And what movie are you watching for your first Family Movie Night?

I like the fact that you use marshmallow fluff for your s’mores. I always want to make a batch, but get so lazy having to torch the marshmallows soft.

Smores are also amazing. Of course, I can’t have them at the moment, trying to eat healthier again and lose weight.

YES you totally could use turkey – I’d use a bit less of breadcrumbs though 😉
