Do you ever find yourself getting stuck in a rut? I’m talking daily grind sort of thing, as if you’ve switched onto auto-pilot and are just functioning? I think we all find ourselves in that rut from time to time, it just happens. When this happens to me it seems to be during times where I’m just go-go-go, on the run and busy, busy, busy.

Then it will hit me, almost like a brick wall…BAM! I realize that I haven’t sat down and watched a favorite TV show, I haven’t flipped through my favorite magazine, I haven’t just sat down to relax in a long time. When times like these catch up with me I often take a deep breath and re-evaluate my schedule, what makes me happy and what I can do to find the Little Wins throughout my day. What are my daily Little Wins you may be wondering? These are the things in my life that bring a smile to my face, the simple joys that we sometimes overlook when we get too busy.

Simple things such as watching my kids play on our play set and just be kids, carefree and enjoying life without a worry in the world. Or maybe it’s catching a sunset (notice I didn’t say sunrise…sleep is precious my friends) and really taking a minute to savor and enjoy the beauty. Little Wins such as treating yourself to your favorite coffee once in a while. Perhaps texting a friend who always makes you laugh, sometimes that’s the best therapy in town.

Around my house lately one of my happiest moments is helping my 8-year-old with her multiplication facts each week. Now it may sound weird that practicing multiplication tables with a third grader would bring me joy, but it does. As I see her progress throughout the week on her assigned tables I feel her confidence building and that makes me feel good. Really good!

Other Little Wins are when I get a few minutes to myself on occasion. It doesn’t happen too often but when it does, I enjoy some retail therapy. Now I’m overwhelmingly frugal, so my idea of retail therapy involves wandering around thrift stores scoping out what great deals I can find. And since this is my few moments of alone time I don’t want to stop and eat somewhere, that’s when a ZonePerfect Nutrition Bar comes in handy.

Throwing a ZonePerfect Nutrition Bar into my purse before I head out the door is the perfect Little Win for snacking while I’m out and about during my busy day. Personally I enjoy the Cinnamon Roll variety but also stock up on the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough too. Talk about delicious!

You can purchase ZonePerfect Nutrition Bars at your local Walmart store with Walmart’s everyday low prices. They are conveniently located in the Health and Wellness section near the Pharmacy. There’s all sorts of flavors to choose from. The Cinnamon Roll flavor has 15 g of protein, let me tell you that protein never tasted so great!

The next time you sit down and focus on relaxing, take some time to assess the Little Wins in your life. You’ll be amazed at how many there are in between kids swimming lessons, homework, dinnertime prep and everything else life throws your direction. Embrace those Little Wins and snack like you mean it. Snack & Rally for the win!
