Cinnamon Peach Oatmeal Smoothie
You guys know that I LOVE to share things as I find them, and this is one of those days! Yup, I have learned that besides having awesome commercials that Aflac not only has amazing commercials, but they have some valuable insurance policies as well. I know, I know – you may already know this! But, if you’re not already using Aflac you’re going to want to keep reading so you can become as in awe of Aflac as I am!
Ok, I think most of us know that Aflac specializes in supplemental insurance, right? If you don’t, LISTEN UP! Basically, supplemental insurance helps to cover you when your standard insurance doesn’t. Meaning (this is important) with the right Aflac policy you get cash when you’re sick or hurt so you can focus on recovery, not financial stress. Yes, CASH!
Your major medical insurance may not cover everything related to illness or accidents – that’s where Aflac steps in! Accident, disability, critical illness, cancer, hospital and life insurance are examples of supplemental insurance policies that can complement your major medical insurance based on your individual needs. What do I need? Keep reading!
I need a few things – I have kids going into braces (yes KIDS, not just one – plural) so I’m looking for a supplemental dental plan. (Keep reading on below for a braces- friendly smoothie recipe; you’re going to love it!) And my bigger issue…I need Short-Term Disability Insurance. Everyone risks a chance of getting hurt somehow somewhere, and with 3 kids and a husband, I felt it was becoming irresponsible to risk not having an insurance that would pay me if I got hurt. My family needs my paychecks (and my husband’s – he’s applying too).
Whether you are young or old (or like me *gulp* hitting the middle age part of life), Short-Term Disability Insurance is a really nice back up (read supplemental) insurance to have. It’s peace of mind knowing that my family won’t struggle if something happens!

Ok, I promised a smoothie, right? Do you have kiddos going into braces? (Even if you don’t – this smoothie is DELISH and you’re going to want to make it!)
I made Cinnamon Peach Oatmeal Smoothie for 2 servings. So you can share it or cut the recipe in half. (You’re going to want to share this yummy drink, you guys!)
Something awesome? You can make this smoothie a green monster smoothie and increase the health benefits! Already this has a nice portion of fruit and whole grains (oatmeal), but adding some spinach? I LOVE doing that. This is the perfect smoothie to do it in. Really adds a punch to the nutrition! YEA ME! (If your kids are fussy pants, put the green monster Cinnamon Peach Oatmeal Smoothie in a non-see thru cup – they will never ever know.)

I love a good smoothie. Wish I would have thought about making some when I had braces. Sometimes chewing wasn’t so fun, but you need to get your nutrients and this a very healthy way to do so.

Wow! That looks so good! I don’t often add oatmeal to my smoothies but it’s definitely a great addition especially if you want a filling breakfast but don’t have the time.
