I’m going to be absolutely honest right here and right now. Mom’s please back me up. Every Day between 4-5 I want to run away. I’ll come back – but UGH between getting everyone home from school/work, trying to find something to make for dinner, and just in general being the worst time of day…I want to run away.
Second truth I have for you. I do not get to run away. I have to finish making dinner, walk my dog, check the homework – so really no rest for the wicked! BUT I’ll tell you my secret. I pour myself a healthy (read that as full) glass of wine to get me through my “witching hour”. You can too! There is no better feeling than getting your “chores” done and then relaxing with a nice glass of wine (sometimes I do hide in the bathroom to finish ALL BY MYSELF).
I don’t want just any wine. Hey – I (And by this I’m including you so WE) deserve something nice that won’t cost us the bank! In walks Butter Chardonnay by JaM Cellars. Ladies, you’re going to thank me for introducing you to Butter Chardonnay. I promise. It’s Delish. I LOVE the buttery – melt in your mouth – flavor of the chardonnay. You will too. AMAZING!

I’m doubting that I need to tell you how wonderful Butter Chardonnay by JaM Cellars is, but because I love sharing awesome new finds by me – I’m going to tell you anyways! (at the end you’re going to want this for Mother’s Day too – tell your loved ones to go WineFinder to find out where to buy!)
Everything is better with butter right? Including chardonnay. No lie. JaM Cellars cold ferments the grapes to create a rich, creamy texture that really goes well with the juicy, ripe notes of stone fruits and baked lemons. Aging in a proprietary blend of oak adds a long, lovely vanilla finish. So GOOD! 2014 Butter Chardonnay and 2014 JaM Cabernet won SILVER at the 2016 San Francisco Chronicle International Wine Awards – yes won. Isn’t that enough to make you go grab a bottle?
One more reason. I can get on board with a fun company. I don’t want a stuffy serious wine. I want fun! That’s what I’m looking for and one I want to support. That’s JaM Cellars. In California they (Ha – JaM stands for John and Michele – who are 2nd generation wine makers – WOOHOO!) are growing grapes and making wine yummy and fun! No snobbery here – just a nice bottle for a mom like me!
So not every night is just a glass of wine night, sometimes I really enjoy having a snack on my way to the bath with my glass of wine (Yes I often drink my glass of wine in the tub – again I told you I just want to drink it by myself with some quiet!). I LOVE eating Cheese with my wine (yes so cliche but so true). This snack is my favorite – I love Honey Walnut Baked Brie. I’m a sucker for Brie and this one is no different! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
- 1 Brie Round (you can leave the rind on - it's perfectly edible)
- 1/2 C honey
- 1/4 C brown sugar
- 1/2 C chopped walnuts
- Heat your oven to 325 degrees
- Take Brie out of it's packaging (again rind is fine) and place on a cookie sheet
- Place in oven for about 25 minutes - or until you have some brie starting to leak out (not a lot just so you know it's gooey inside)
- While Brie is baking combine honey and brown sugar on stove until all granules are gone
- Pour Honey over finished Brie and Top with Walnuts
- Serve immediately
