Hungry for a delicious easy dessert? Try this Banana Cream Pie Yogurt Parfait, a family favorite that leaves you feeling good about snacking!

Are you doing the school is finally out ‘happy dance’? I sure am, after a long school year of go, go, go and shuttling the kids back and forth to multiple schools, mom is ready for a break.  But, with summer break also comes a big case of ‘hungry-itis‘.  I’m sure it happens at your home too with the daily does of “I’m hungry“, “Do we have any snacks?”, “Can we have dessert now?”.  I hear at least one of those if not all of those uttered throughout the day during summer break and let me tell you, I have a great answer for these questions!

Have a Yoplait® Yogurt!!! There, done, simple as that! I keep my fridge well stocked with an assortment of Yoplait® Yogurt varieties.  Every shopping trip I make to my local Walmart store, I load up the cart in anticipation of the constant stream of snack requests from my children.  Now mind you, I have kids that range in age from 18 to 3, and it doesn’t matter which one it is they all love Yoplait® Yogurt.  I also make sure there’s always enough on hand for impromptu visits from a herd of teenagers who pop in all the time.  Have you fed teenagers? Oh my word they can EAT!!! Providing them with a wholesome snack in flavors they will love makes me feel great!

We’re also very active during the summer, whether it be visits to parks, playgrounds or beaches. All of that outdoor time and fun leads to major cases of me hearing the “I’m hungry” phrase!  So I pack up Yoplait® Yogurt in our cooler to enjoy when those hungry moments hit the kids and myself too. We can snack on something cool and yummy but not too heavy.  Such a great solution to snacking while on the go!

Now if we’re going to talk about the deliciousness of Yoplait® Yogurt, we all know how creamy it is, we love that. But, we have to also mention the flavors!  The most challenging part about buying Yoplait® Yogurt is choosing which flavors to purchase.  Have you checked out the selection lately? Just last week at Walmart I found Rainbow Sherbert Yoplait® Yogurt, are you even kidding me?  How delicious does that sound?  My kids were just as excited as I was over that flavor.  Of course we loaded up the cart with other amazing flavors too such as: Pina Colada, French Vanilla and Caramel!  Who can resist any of those flavors?

Today I’m sharing what I whipped up one night when I heard “Can we have dessert now?“.  It was one of those nights that I wanted to spend time outside, not in the kitchen.  So I got to thinking about what sounded really yummy?  I peeked into the fridge, scanned the kitchen and what I saw instantly was Yoplait® Yogurt and bananas.  Perfect combination normally at breakfast time, we eat them together frequently.  But this night I decided why not fancy it up a bit more and came up with some Banana Cream Pie Yogurt Parfaits!  Scrumptious layers of Yoplait® Yogurt, bananas, graham crackers and a smidgen of whipped cream.  They were gone as fast as I could make them, the sign of a true hit!

I chose Yoplait® French Vanilla Yogurt and a second complimentary flavor, Yoplait® Caramel Yogurt to go into the parfaits.  You’ll have enough to make 2 parfaits. If you don’t have graham crackers on hand, you can easily substitute vanilla wafer cookies.  These will happen again in our home, very soon, my kids have already requested them again.  Summer is just the ideal time to grab a few extra cartons of Yoplait® Yogurt next time you’re shopping at Walmart, there’s so many ways to enjoy all the delicious flavors.

Banana Cream Pie Yogurt Parfait

Ingredients

• 1 6oz container Yoplait® French Vanilla Yogurt
• 1 6oz container Yoplait® Caramel Yogurt
• 1 banana, sliced and then diced
• 1/2 cup graham crackers, coarsely broken or crushed
• whipped cream

Instructions

1. In tall glass, layer as follows: Yoplait® Yogurt (either flavor), bananas, graham crackers and repeat. End with a dollop of whipped cream.
