Tropical Green Monster Smoothie is quickly becoming one of my favorites! I’ve said before that I love smoothies to get some great nutrition into my kids – well this one is to get some nutrition into ME! I love all of the ingredients and would eat them separately but not at 6 am (I mean who wants spinach for breakfast). I love the idea of having this in the blender and getting a nutritional boost in the am.
The Tropical Green Monster Smoothie can REALLY be customized if you’d like. I’m not a huge banana in my smoothie fan so I didn’t use it – but I bet it would fit in great for those who like a banana. I didn’t add any (to the recipe anyways) flax seed, but I plan to (as soon as I buy some more) again to boost the nutrition up. What’s wonderful about a smoothie like this is that you can add or subtract ingredients and still have a yummy, filling, and healthy start to your day.
