Most of my life I swore up & down that I did NOT like Sloppy Joes! I was pretty confident of that fact and knew that I did not like the stuff from a can, it had a funky taste & I couldn’t understand why anyone would taint ground beef with the stuff. After many years (yes, I’m one of the oldies) and a bit of luck finding this gem of a recipe by the ever popular The Pioneer Woman, I was sold. Once I saw all the ingredients that she used, I knew it would be good. I’ve tweaked it to my own personal preference over the years, but I will guarantee you it tastes much better than the stuff out of a can. I normally get it all cooked and then place into a slow cooker to keep warm, it will feed a large group or my family so be forewarned, if you have a small group you will have leftovers which in fact are even better. Serve it up along side my Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad or Heather’s Greek Pasta Salad for a great summer meal. Also, feel free to spice this up also, I keep it on the mild side in hopes that my younger ones will eat it.

These do look great! The ONLY thing that would make them better…..sing Lunch Lady, by Adam Sandler while serving them…..just sayin 🙂
