Streusel Topped Chai Muffins
There’s a special time of the day in my house that I absolutely treasure. There’s a window of silence that occurs. I’ve just returned back to the house after dropping the kids at school. I walk into the kitchen and its quiet, just me and my dog.
After the hustle and bustle of waking the kids up, feeding them breakfast, getting them dressed, filling their lunch boxes, getting shoes and coats on and grabbing all that needs to go along with them, I’m already exhausted!
Then there’s the drive to school, and the dreaded drop off lane…ugh! That moment of complete silence when I return back home is definitely cherished.
Add into the mix the upcoming holiday season. As excited as I am about the holidays, all of that merriment can be hectic. Much of the planning, prepping and overall work falls upon my shoulders.
Finding bits of me-time is essential, not to mention beneficial. A time to regroup, a time to refocus, a time for me to enjoy an indulgent break and then get right back at it.
Walking into my kitchen and savoring the silence first thing in the morning is the perfect time to enjoy an Oregon Chai® Tea Latte. And what goes better with a warm and delicious beverage such as Oregon Chai Tea Latte? A muffin of course!
I made some amazing Streusel Topped Chai Muffins. Into the batter, I mixed in a bit of Oregon Chai Tea Latte concentrate which brings a fantastic flavor to these muffins. Once they are baked I made a simple drizzle for the top and added a touch more of Oregon Chai Tea Latte concentrate.
Oregon Chai Tea Latte is the perfect holiday beverage, let me tell you why. With a wonderful blend of spices, it really compliments the entire holiday season.
I purchase Oregon Chai Tea Latte in The Original variety at my local Meijer store. I found mine in the tea and coffee aisle. You can also find these additional varieties at Meijer: Sugar-Free, and Slightly Sweet.
I absolutely love the convenience of making a coffee-house favorite at home, chai tea lattes are moving mainstream. Anytime I can stay at home and enjoy something delicious, I’m in!
I can grab an Oregon Chai Tea Latte, a tasty Streusel Topped Chai Muffin and find someplace cozy to sit and enjoy. Finding some me time before I start the rest of my day might include watching the news or catching up on my favorite TV shows on the DVR.
Me time at home doesn’t have to be complicated, but what it does need to be is enjoyable. Save the emails for later, don’t sort laundry, avoid the pile of mail. All of that can happen later, after me time.
Like so many other consumers I enjoy having an indulgent treat. Oregon Chai Tea Lattes are an indulgent and better-for-you alternative offering gourmet and trendy flavor profiles with fun, exciting & indulgent tastes. Both The Original and Slightly Sweet varieties are Organic and Non-GMO Project Verified too.
I’d love to hear how you enjoy me time during the holiday season, be sure to comment and let me know.

Hello! These Chai muffins look delish and I love Chai tea, so what a double treat! Would the muffins taste just as good if I substitute white flour for the wheat flour? One other question, what if I substituted whole wheat PASTRY flour for the wheat flour?
