Cinnamon Raisin Bran® Muffins are a delicious way to start your day! Easy to prepare and great for packing into lunches or snacking.
Reading and developing a strong love of literacy is something I highly encourage in our household. My oldest daughter is preparing to leave for college in 3 short weeks and just yesterday packed up container after container of her beloved books, we’re talking hundreds of them. They’ll get stored away until she has a place of her own, for the time being she chose a few particular favorites to take along to her dorm. I have so many memories of us sharing reading time together as she was growing up. It delights me to see my younger daughters enjoying some tattered books that once were their older sisters, it pulls at my heartstrings!
I encourage this love of books within our family in many different ways. I’ve always read stories to my kids at bedtime, every.single.night! Even while on vacation, books are read at bedtime. We also regularly attend story-time at our local library and bookstores, and order books online as gifts. You can imagine my delight when I spotted specially marked Kellogg’s packages at Walmart with a Scholastic book offer. Not just any offer…but a FREE book offer! Yes, free is good, right???
You’re going to want to share this amazing deal with your children’s grandparents and aunt and uncles, as they can help add to your home library. I want to share with you now the details: While shopping at Walmart, look for specially marked packages of Kellogg’s products. Some may be in the cereal aisle, the center aisle or in the “back to school lunch” section in grocery. On the package you’ll see the “FREE BOOK” offer.
I purchased a 16 ct. Kellogg’s Pop-Tarts® package along with an old family favorite, Kellogg’s Raisin Bran®. Each person can redeem up to 30 FREE BOOKS and there’s 80 full-length book titles to choose from in a variety of reading levels. Ordered books will be mailed directly to you within 6-8 weeks after ordering. Books can even be donated to you local school arriving in an envelope that says it was “…generously donated by XXX family”. Schools can always use extra books, such a wonderful way to help others. If you love shopping online, you can still benefit from this great offer. Buy directly on Walmart.com and receive a free book from purchases made between 7/21/15 and 9/11/15.
After you’ve purchased specially marked packages, the steps to redeem your FREE BOOK codes are very simple. First you’ll need to create a Kellogg’s Family Rewards account (if you don’t already have one). I’ll walk you through this as I just redeemed my own FREE BOOK code. I used my phone to do this, but you can do this on your computer too.
Create a Kellogg’s Family Rewards and login.
Upload your receipt and enter code found within specially marked packages.
Choose if you’d like to donate the book or receive for yourself.
Type in the code, it will then go into your shopping cart.
Next step is selection, choose desired book (we choose one that both my 3 yr old and 7 yr old will enjoy) and submit.
You’ll then receive a confirmation email. Told you it was easy!
As I mentioned earlier Kellogg’s Raisin Bran® has been a family favorite as far back as I can remember. I recall my grandma making muffins using Kellogg’s Raisin Bran® and I’ve started making my own version too, reminds me of good times long ago. Homemade muffins and a FREE book sounds like a great plan to me!

Hi. You have sugar listed twice. Is one of them brown sugar?
