Love fall flavors & beer? Then you’ll love these Spiced Cream Cheese Frosted Pumpkin Ale Cupcakes as they combine the best of both worlds. They are amazing.
When autumn arrives, along with it comes all the fabulous flavors of fall. All things apple, cinnamon, pumpkin, which will get you NO complaints from me. Those are some of my favorite flavors and I will embrace them gladly along with the crisp fall weather and leaves.
Along with cider & donuts, every fall stores start stocking different varieties of pumpkin ale. Now to some (my husband) this might not at first sound appealing, but you’ll be won over just as he was. Basically its a spiced ale that has the fall flavors you’d expect to go along with pumpkin, you’ll taste hints of nutmeg and cloves, but they aren’t overpowering. I used Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale, this is a brand that is readily available at most chain supermarkets. You won’t be disappointed, this ale will taste great sitting alongside a bonfire too, you can thank me later!
To top off these cupcakes, I spiced up some traditional cream cheese frosting with my DIY Pumpkin Pie Spice. You’ll wanna make a big batch of this early each fall, it will save you money vs. buying it off the shelf. And to top off these cupcakes, the slightest drizzle of caramel…and there ya have it, a new fall favorite!

A second recipe with pumpkin ale! Whoda thunk. They look so yummy. What a fun dessert challenge, I hadn’t thought of spicing up a cream cheese frosting with pumpkn pie spice, but that’s an awesome idea for a twist on any standard cream cheese frosted pumpkin treat!

I love taking a boxed cake mix and making it fabulous! It doesn’t take much, just a little ingenuity. I love the pumpkin spice sprinkle you used on your frosting, just a fun little touch!
