Sour Cream Chocolate Chocolate Chip Banana Bread is a somewhat-healthy dessert in our house. This chocolatey banana bread is not fresh fruit salad by any means, but it is a great option for dessert or an extra special breakfast.
I found a recipe I liked, but wanted to make it healthier by using whole wheat flour and extra bananas. I prefer extra dark cocoa in this recipe, but you are of course free to use whichever kind you prefer. Just make sure that it is unsweetened cocoa powder. My daughter will not touch banana bread if it has nuts in it, so we decided to skip the pecan or walnut pieces, but feel free to add 1/4 a cup to 1/2 a cup of nuts to the recipe.
I hope you enjoy this chocolatey treat of Sour Cream Chocolate Chocolate Chip Banana Bread as much as we did and if you are looking for more muffins or banana breads check out our Muffin Recipe Collection for more inspiration!
