Drinking a Lemon Drop Martini on a hot summer day is what summer sipping is all about! Make them for your next Back Yard BBQ or day out by the pool!
After freezing for the last 6 months, I am ready for summer. It’s time to open the pool, get some sun and enjoy some summer fun! Making a Lemon Drop Martini is putting me in the mood for everything summer. Bring on the smell of sun screen and burgers on the grill. I’m so happy – the drab February days are completely over!
My favorite things to do in summer are the easy, fun things. I love hanging out with my husband on the back deck with all of our chores over and having Happy Hour. My boys can be running around the back yard with the dog chasing them and we’re just having a great time out there. In addition to a fantastic cocktail, my back yard is one of my favorite things about summer!
After talking about how excited for summer I am, I have to say what makes me love a Lemon Drop Martini so much is that I can make one is January and be transported for a half an hour to a far off tropical location. It really is an amazing cocktail and surprisingly easy to make. That to me is the ultimate drink – you don’t want to have 10 ingredients when you make a fun cocktail do you? Too much work for me.
Like I said, I enjoy drinking simple, yet tasty drinks. I have a few more ideas for you to mix up your cocktail hour!
Lemon Cherrytini
Adult Cherry Limeade
Watermelon Cooler
One more idea that I have for you is the amazing Blueberry Lemon Martini over at SnacksandSips.com. Such an amazing choice!
I’m ready for summer – are you? Do you have big summer fun planned? We are getting ready here to get the kids out of school and start swimming in the back yard. Let me know your plans in the comments!
