Get rid of those after school hunger pains with these really simple Chocolate No Bake Oatmeal Bars! Easy and nutritious (plus your kids will love them).
I can’t be the only mom who’s kids come home “STARVING”. Not for nothing, but that phrase drives me nuts, so I’m trying to get creative on how to get rid of my kids saying it. I want my boys to come home to a great snack, not junk, but let’s face it – parents raise your hands if you’re busy! Ok I see you – I feel you and I hear you. Let’s make a SUPER easy, delicious and nutritious after school snack! (we can get this done)
As I’m speaking about snacks here my 6 year old is sitting here saying “chocolate milk please”. He’s so funny, but he’s also serious. He’s the worlds PICKIEST eater so yes things like chocolate milk are a staple. When I discovered TruMoo Calcium Plus I almost did a jump of joy in the store (don’t worry if you haven’t seen it yet – TruMoo Calcium Plus is brand new!). For all of my boys (especially the fussy one) I love this. Why? I’ll tell you.
First TruMoo Calcium Plus is a milk from TruMoo – I love them already. Next? Yes it’s plus calcium – TruMoo Calcium Plus is a lowfat milk and has 50% more calcium than other low fat milks. There’s no High Fructose Corn Syrup. Best of all? My kids adore it (hey it can have everything in it but if it’s not kid tested I lose!).
Obviously my kids are totally guzzling TruMoo Calcium Plus, but I still have my snack problem for after school! I came up with a way to use TruMoo Calcium Plus with it’s 8 essential nutrients including extra calcium into their snack. I love love love it. That’s where the Chocolate No Bake Oatmeal Bars come in. They are delicious bars and nutritious for my kiddos which I’m so happy about. Again – they gobbled these up – which is completely the point right?
