Zesty Ranch Grilled Chicken Thighs

That favorite time of the year has finally found us…SUMMER! For most people and myself included this means so many great things!

Spending time with my kids during summer break, getting outdoors more, enjoying walks, bike rides, warm weather and of course grilling. I love when the weather warms up to the point where we can uncover our grill, start meal planning dinners cooked on the grill and invite friends and family over to enjoy along with us.

We find ourselves outdoors around the grill frequently during the summer months. Our home is on a lake which makes the perfect backdrop for entertaining.

Having guests over for impromptu dinners are made easy when you fire up the grill.  Everyone can spend time outside enjoying nature and not cooped up in the kitchen.

One thing I tend to do in the summer is marinade chicken for deliciously juicy grilled dinners. Just this week I picked up some Tyson® Fresh Chicken Thighs while I was shopping at Walmart.

You can find them right in the fresh meat department, pick up a couple of packages while at Walmart and you’ll be on your way to an easy grilled dinner.

Once home I easily marinated the Tyson® Fresh Chicken Thighs with some basic spices and some Hidden Valley Ranch dry seasoning. Set the bag of marinated chicken in the fridge and got to work enjoying the nice weather.  

My husband is normally the “griller” in our home, he enjoys being outside preparing dinner while chatting with family and friends.

On this particular night, we had some of our older kids outdoors enjoying the nice evening with us. It was wonderful seeing them just gathering around the grill talking with dad and reliving some of the moments from their last few days of school.

Nothing like a relaxing evening to enable the flow of conversation.  Once the grill was hot we got to grilling our marinated Tyson® Fresh Chicken Thighs, along with some bell pepper and sweet onions. We plan on spending many more evenings gathering around the grill, whether it be with family, friends or a combination of both.  Time is precious and with one child moving away to college in a few weeks, we need to gather around the grill more often and enjoy family time.

Next time I’m shopping at Walmart I definitely plan on loading up the cart with more Tyson® Fresh Chicken Thighs because there’s nothing like a delicious grilled meal to perfect celebrate enjoying summer, you should too!

Ingredients

• 8 Tyson® Fresh Chicken Thighs
• 1 2oz package Hidden Valley Ranch dry seasoning
• 1.5 t crushed red pepper flakes
• 1t Italian seasoning
• 1/2 t garlic powder
• 3 T olive oil
• 1/4 cup water

Instructions

1. Mix all dry and wet ingredients together in a bowl, whisk to blend. Add seasoning mixture and chicken thighs to a gallon sized resealable plastic bag, seal well. Refrigerate a minimum of 1 hour. Grill until cooked throughout, approximately 8 minutes per side.
