As I have told you 10,432 times I live with all boys – 1 husband and 3 sons. Is it any wonder that the true heroes in our house are the Disney Villains? Yes, I have a “thing” for a Princess (does any girl really get away with NOT having a thing for at least 1 Princess?), but in our house we celebrate the Villain! I’m ok with it – it brings a whole new light to all of my favorite Disney Movies by watching them through my sons eyes! So imagine our excitement at the upcoming The Disney Channel’s Descendants. It’s coming out on July 31 (both on the Disney Channel and on DVD!). We are absolutely beside ourselves waiting!
We have a plan. We have scheduled in a Family Movie Night with treats to watch the premiere of The Disney Channel’s Descendants. We’ll watch it on The Disney Channel the premiere night, but without my boys knowing I will have already made my trip to Walmart to buy a DVD and the Official Soundtrack to Disney’s Descendants. I KNOW that the boys will want to watch the movie 25 more times (I mean that week) and we LOVE having a sing along/Dance party with songs from our favorite movies!
For a treat? We’ll be having the amazingly Wicked Apple Dessert Cups (recipe is below and it’s a winner for sure). It’s perfect (and I can grab all the ingredients at Walmart – no need to go to 2 stores to get the movie and the treats). Do you see what I did there? Of course the villain ALWAYS has an Apple, at least she did in Snow White! So we’ll be eating the poison apple while enjoying a villainous wicked night!
I love the Evil Queen from Snow White! My boys? They are obsessed with Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty (they love ANYTHING with some great magic). Maleficent is just pure fun, she’s evil but you feel a bit bad for her right? Being left out of the party always makes me mad! And if I had super powers – you’d better watch out!!! So while we sit watching The Disney Channel’s Descendants, spells will be flying around our living room, Maleficent’s daughter will be cheered. I’m seriously looking forward to it.
Have your kids told you about The Disney Channel’s Descendants yet? Mine were the ones to inform me! They are SO excited! Anything that gets my family together to enjoy (key word enjoy) the SAME SHOW is a great thing for me. I love it. I’m waiting (impatiently) for July 31 so we can have our FUN night watching The Disney Channel’s Descendants and eating our Wicked Apple Dessert Cups!

fluff – how to describe? It’s like jarred marshmallows – literally called fluff! You can find it in the store by peanut butter sometimes, or by the marshmallows!
