7 Meals in 1 Hour Crockpot Freezer Cooking Shopping List. Complete list of ingredients needed for 7 slow cooker meals that will save you time and money.

7 Meals in 1 Hour Crockpot Freezer Cooking Shopping List. Complete list of ingredients needed for 7 slow cooker meals that will save you time and money.

Chances are that you’ve stumbled on this post because of  the 7 Meals in 1 Hour” Crockpot Freezer Cooking post.  Whether you are new to the concept of freezer cooking and want to start on a smaller scale or you’re a seasoned vet looking for some new recipes for your menu rotation,  you’ve landed in the right spot.

In our “7 Meals in 1 Hour” post we have 7 new slow cooker recipes that you can easily prep/bag/freeze in the course of an hour.  Trust me you can do this! Now I’m no miracle worker, so the shopping time will be a whole other issues, but with shopping list in hand you’ll have that part done in no time also.

Now that you’ve decided to start your freezer cooking journey, we have to talk about shopping. As I mentioned in the main post, I will not say exactly how much I spent or how much this will cost you, those figures are completely subjective on how you personally shop, your pantry stock, sales you may hit, the area you live in and all sorts of other variables.  What I will reiterate is that you will save money vs. pizza, drive-thru, convenience foods and carry-out meals.  For approximately $10 a bag, you’ll feed your family and have stress-free dinner prep.

The shopping list will obviously depend on which pantry staples you may already have on hand. I’ve broken the list down into the following categories: Pantry Items, Dairy, Canned Goods/Bottled, Veggies and Meats.

PANTRY ITEMS:

  • Gallon Sized Freezer Bags
  • Honey
  • Red Pepper Flakes
  • Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Chili Powder
  • Lawry’s Seasoned Salt
  • Parsley Flakes
  • Black Pepper
  • Cornstarch
  • Peanut Butter
  • Sugar
  • Worcestershire Sauce
  • Dried Rosemary
  • Dried Oregano
  • Dried Basil
  • Garlic Salt

DAIRY (do not bag these ingredients):

  • Milk
  • 4 oz. Cream Cheese

CANNED GOODS/BOTTLED:

  • 1 Can Whole Cranberry Sauce
  • 1 Bottle BBQ Sauce
  • 1 Bottle Soy Sauce
  • 1 Can Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce
  • 1 Jar Salsa
  • Jarred Ginger
  • 2 Cans Campbell’s French Onion or Golden Mushroom Soup
  • 3 Cans (14 oz each) White Beans or Great Northern Beans
  • 1 Can (28 oz) Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 Carton (32 oz) Chicken Broth
  • 2 Cans (8 oz each) Tomato Sauce

VEGGIES:

  • 4 Large Onion
  • 1 Lime
  • 13 Garlic Cloves or Jarred Garlic
  • 1 Small Bag Baby Carrots
  • 2 Celery Ribs
  • 1 Package (9 oz) Frozen Sugar Snap Peas
  • 1.5 lbs Redskin Potatoes (do not freeze)

MEAT:

  • 5 lbs Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 2 lbs Round Roast
  • 2 lbs Pork Tenderloin
  • 2 lbs Stew Beef
  • 1 lb Breakfast Sausage

When making Crock Pot meals, I use an inexpensive appliance timer so my meals don’t get over cooked.

I am not the greatest cook, but this looks like something I can do. I am only cooking for two, and we do enjoy leftovers. Do I just make each recipe as it is and it is one bag? or are the recipes already doubled and I need to put into 2 bags?
    Thanks

Hi Beth, The recipes are not doubled in this post. I fit the entire contents for each recipe into 1 gallon sized freezer bag per recipe. Any other questions, please feel free to ask! 🙂

Does it matter how we put them in the bags? I know that sounds funny but I just don’t want to do it wrong. 2 of my friends and I are planning on doing this for the first time on Saturday. Please help! 🙂

Kathie – I’ll answer for Lori – no it doesn’t. Unless the recipe specifically says to not add something you should be fine getting it all into the bag. The individual recipes will give you more instructions (like if you should mix something before or what to leave OUT of the bag;) ) Happy Freezer meals making!

What size slow cooker did you use? How many servings for each recipe?

Kim, Each specific recipe outlines how many approximate servings, most are 4-6. My personal slow cooker is a 6 qt. Enjoy 🙂

Hey I LOVE your website! I have been giving this a thought for sometime and you totally convinced me to start meal prepping with a crock pot! I’m going out on my day of and getting started! I just had to take a job and I don’t get home until 9:30 pm. I’m not home to make dinner for my family. So this is perfect!

Do you just chop the veg and chuck in the freezer bag or do they need blanching first please

Yvonne, unless specifically mentioned the veggies go right into the freezer bags. Hope you enjoy!

Hi there, great recipes which I will be organising this week.

Can you clarify exactly what you mean by Tomato Sauce – do you mean ketchup or puree, or something else?

    Many thanks.

    David.

      Hi David,
I purchase cans of tomato sauce that are labeled just that, it’s thinner than a puree. Found right in the canned tomato section of my grocery store. Hope you enjoy!
