Bring the spirit of Christmas to life with some fun Magic Reindeer Food! Cute project for preschoolers, they’ll love the magic!
Last Christmas my daughter Racquel came home from preschool with a packet of “Magic Reindeer Food”. Now she was very excited about this little package, the problem was that school was released for holiday break approximately one week prior to Christmas, so as you can imagine this packet was talked about constantly. Thank you Mrs. Lantzy for giving us parents just one more thing to hear about over and over and over the week prior to Christmas. Anyhoo, it was loads of fun for her to *think* she was REALLY leaving food for Santa’s reindeer. It just so happened that it was a snowy Christmas Eve at our house, and Racquel was eager to get out there & leave her Magic Reindeer Food. She had lots of fun and I knew that this was something that we’d be adding to our list of Christmas Eve traditions.
Many online sites will list glitter as one of the ingredients (and the poem mentions glitter) but I chose to skip glitter as I wouldn’t really want an animal/bird to ingest glitter pieces. If you have edible glitter, that would be great. I simply used sparkly decorating sugar and oatmeal, it is that simple.
The printable that I used is from a great site that I stumbled upon, OrganizedChristmas.com, you can print this adorable Magic Reindeer Food printable there and find all sorts of additional holiday inspiration. They kindly allowed me to use their printable to showcase the Magic Reindeer Food, so go check them out!
