Give the Gift of Comfort Food with this easy to make gift basket. Stop into Walmart and you’ll find all you need for this great holiday gift.
Are you an organized holiday shopper, or are you the type that does better under pressure and waits until the last-minute? Truth be told I’m a little of both. I like to think that I’m organized and will have everything done in a timely manner but honestly life sometimes doesn’t cooperate now does it? This year though I’m trying very hard to use my time wiser and do one-stop shopping.
My local Walmart is helping me do just that! Have you seen the amazing selection of gift cards available at Walmart this holiday season! There’s truly something for everyone on your holiday shopping list. Gift cards are great for last-minute gifts and with a few simple additions, they can be creatively woven into a variety of themed gifts.
Take for example this fun Cracker Barrel Gift Card (with bonus peg game), if you have comfort food lovers on your list it is perfect. You can easily pop it onto a tree or into a stocking, or create a fantastic gift with just a few simple items.
Items used in this Comfort Food Gift:
- Cracker Barrel Gift Card (with bonus peg game)
- Small metal container
- Dishtowels and pot holders
- Corn muffin mix
- Small plastic mixing spoon
- Small cast iron pan
- Ornament
You can add whatever items you’d like to customize this gift for the comfort food lover in your life. We’re huge Cracker Barrel fans. My kids love going there to eat, they felt this gift had the same “cozy” feeling you get when you dine there.
The gift card selection at Walmart is HUGE, you can get gift cards for Apple iTunes, Google Play, Regal Cinemas, Dominos Pizza and so many more. With such a great variety you can walk in and gain inspiration just by looking at the display! I found two huge displays located at the front of my local Walmart, they have giant red bows on top so you can spot them very easily.
I’ve even picked up a few extra cards for those unexpected gifts that seem to always crop up. Once again I’m trying this holiday season to use my time wiser with one-stop shopping. Now tell me, what fun ideas do you have for gift cards, be sure to comment below.

I purchase gifts thru-out the year but always purchase gift cards to tuck in here and there to give a little extra. Looks like Walmart has a huge selection, awesome!!

I really enjoy putting together themed gifts and adding a gift card just makes it extra special. I’m working on a family movie pack and just need to pick up gift cards to a theatre!

I love grabbing those cards for gifts and wish that I had a couple tonight when friends dropped by with Christmas treats and I was empty handed! I’ll be running to our local Walmart tomorrow! What an adorable gift combination you’ve put together!
