Up until this summer my youngest kids were completely oblivious to the fact that water parks existed. They really weren’t even interested in swimming, so we’d never visited a water park with them. All of that has changed! The summer of 2017 is when my youngest daughters morphed into mermaids! We’ll just say we can’t get them out of the water since our recent visit to Cedar Point Shores in Sandusky, Ohio.
Cedar Point Shores is located adjacent to the amazing Cedar Point Amusement Park. For 2017 you can explore 18 acres of watery fun! Let me tell you, that’s A LOT of splish splashing fun for ALL!
Four brand new water attractions will keep everyone in the family happy. Point Plummet and Portside Plunge attract the teens, tweens and adults who enjoy thrill seeking in their water rides. Lemmy’s Lagoon and Lakeside Landing appealed to my young kids with loads to do.

Upon entering you’ll be surrounded by sights and sounds of FUN! As a parent I was thrilled to see ample restrooms/lockers and changing locations.
There’s also plenty of shopping as well as food and drink options at Cedar Point Shores. Get a bite to eat at Crystal Rock Cafe or ice cream at Beaches & Cream.
Or grab a cold adult beverage at Schooner’s Bayside Bar or Muffleheads Beach Bar…yup happy mama right here!
If slides aren’t your thing, grab a raft and head over to Cedar Creek and ride the lazy river, personally this was my favorite spot!
One of the things we enjoyed the most was the location of Cedar Point Shores, convenient to lodging and one of the entrances into Cedar Point Amusement Park. We loved hearing the “click click click….ahhhhhhhh” of the Magnum XL-200 roller coaster running right through the water park. My family had the very best time at Cedar Point Shores, it will definitely be a must-visit summer destination for us.
If you are looking for a fun family destination, I highly recommend Cedar Point Shores along with Cedar Point Amusement Park. There’s something for everyone: thrill seekers, water park lovers, fans of Snoopy & the Peanuts Gang…Cedar Point has it all. With fun events all summer long including: Cedar Point Nights (July 14-August 13). Experience the park after dark as the beach illuminates like never before with extended park hours! Relax around the fire pits while enjoying live music. Or savor dinner on the beach with hamburgers and hot dogs fresh off the grill! Stay up late with us for a Beach Glo Party. And finally, kiss the night goodbye with fireworks right before the park closes! I may have to book another trip to Cedar Point just for Cedar Point Nights, my family would love this.

Going to a water park is always the high light of our day. The kids hurry to get their chores done so we can all go and enjoy a day in the water. They come home hungry and tired. So you know it was a good day.
Water parks are such a refreshing way to keep cool during the hot days of summer. My kids have always loved water parks and this one looks like a good one.
I love water parks. They are way more fun than amusement parks and my little one is already a water rat so this would be ideal for us.
I wish we had more water parks close to where we live. For now, the pool will have to do.

It has been a very long time since I’ve been to Cedar Point. At that time they were just starting the waterpark. I definitely need to go out and check out this waterpark. They are my favorite place to go.
Oh my goodness what an amazing looking waterpark, they have to be my favourite type of theme park and this one looks like super fun for the summer.
It has been creeping up hotter and hotter each day that I actually want to sit in the water. Over 100 today already!

Water parks have always been a favorite of our family. This one sounds like it is great and HUGE. I have heard of Cedar Point but never knew there was a water park as well.

My family and I aren’t big thrill seekers. So, water parks are our favorite. The lazy river is the best thing going for sure. As a mom I appreciate plenty of lockers and places to change.
Water parks are always the most refreshing during hot summer days. I liked the theme of this water park. Water parks are always fun. Good to know that Cedar Point Shores along with Cedar Point Amusement Park are ideal for families too.
We have a similar water park here that’s called Splash Island. This place is especially a hit during summer vacation for kids to enjoy. Water rides are thrilling!
I guess kids will never get tired of swimming! The adrenalin that they have everytime they will see a pool and water activities like slides! Water parks are kids favorites!
I love finding a new water park for the kids. They are always so much fun, probably more so than even amusement parks. This one looks great, and it’s got funnel cakes, too!
Kids + Water parks + Summer go hand in hand. I know the kids had a blast here.
My daughter will surely go crazy in this water park. We, as adults, love the beach but kids are more drawn to water parks.
