Monster High™ dolls were introduced to my 7-year-old on her last birthday. She received two as gifts from a friend, and they instantly became favorites at our house. As a parent, what I like is the actual message: ‘Be Yourself. Be Unique. Be a Monster™’. Celebrating the differences that we all possess is a wonderful message for growing girls to embrace. Accepting others for who they are is a trait we highly encourage within our family and Monster High™ dolls are a fun way to help convey this life lesson to our kids while encouraging fun and creative play.
When my daughter discovered that Monster High™ Boo York, Boo York dolls were now available, her excitement couldn’t be contained! We’ve now added Clawdeen Wolf™, Operetta™ and Draculaura™ to her collection. Let me introduce you to these fun and slightly scary-cool dolls.
- Clawdeen Wolf™ Daughter of the Werewolf, who loves designing fashion, hairstyles and makeup.
- Operetta™ Daughter of The Phantom of the Opera, who loves playing and singing music.
- Draculaura™ Daughter of Dracula, who loves freaky-fab fashion and hanging out with her friends.
These are just a couple of the characters available; you can also find: Elle Eedee™, Luna Mothews™, Mouscedes King™ dolls in the collection.
Each doll comes with great accessories, which include sunglasses, purses and shoes. Their clothing is super fun too, with details that compliment each character perfectly. They are easily poseable, with jointed arms, legs and even wrists. I’ve found my daughter playing with these dolls in creative ways, voicing their own unique personalities, and creating fun play scenarios with them. She enjoys that they are a tiny bit spooky, I enjoy that we’ve had conversations about what makes us unique and why we should embrace those qualities.
If your daughter is like mine and beginning to discover new characters and branching out in her toy selection, then you should check out Monster High™ dolls. You can find them at Walmart, Target, Amazon and Toys “R” Us stores.
