Did you know that there’s a gem on the west side of Michigan that will keep the whole family happy for an entire day? Yes, true story! Michigan’s Adventure is only a short drive from the metro Detroit area. If you hop in the car after breakfast you’ll be there by lunchtime and ready to hit the rides, coasters & water slides.

What I really like about Michigan’s Adventure is that one ticket gets you in and you can enjoy both the amusement park rides and WhiteWater Adventure water park. You don’t have to leave one park to enter the other, just stroll over to the section you’d like to enjoy and BAM start having fun.

Last year was our first family trip to Michigan’s Adventure (you can read about it by clicking HERE). It was a momentous trip as my daughter rode her first coaster…and now she’s hooked! My family really enjoyed Michigan’s Adventure last year but we weren’t able to hit the water park. This year was a different story, we thoroughly soaked up every last-minute we could in the water park on a glorious summer day in Michigan.

Watch the video to see all the fun we had during our day at Michigan’s Adventure & WhiteWater Adventure!

With fun coasters such as the Thunderhawk and Shivering Timbers coaster lovers will be totally happy. Younger kids such as my girls loved the Timbertown Railway and The Big Dipper. Be sure to head over to the Funland Farm and see all the adorable animals, the alpacas are my personal favorite. Or take a leisurely boat ride in a swan and get a great view of the entire park.

Once you’ve gotten your share of rides, grab your bathing suit and towel and head over to WhiteWater Adventure. Now as a parent I will tell you there are chairs EVERYWHERE! A pet peeve of mine is entering a water park and spending 30 minutes trying to locate a chair that’s not occupied…no worries here, there’s chairs galore & loads of umbrellas too. If a private cabana is more your style, they’ve got that too!

Half Pint Paradise is simply amazing for younger kids, with a new splash pad and all sorts of water dumping features that will keep little ones happily entertained. Beach Party is where the fun was had by my 9-year-old, I literally had to drag her out of there when it was time to leave. She was drenched and loving every minute of it.

If wilder water rides are up your alley, there’s tons of fun water slides including the Funnel of Fear and the Snake Pit! Mom even found a spot to relax and soak up some sun, ahhhhh!

We left thoroughly exhausted after riding rides, and then splishing & splashing to our hearts desires! If you are looking for a fun day just a short drive away head to Michigan’s Adventure!

Lol, I love the huge swan! They have those at the Texas state fair, too. I wish I had the time to take off to enjoy a day at an amusement park.

I love waterparks because it is so hot in the summer! This looks like a great one. My favorite at the water park near us is the lazy river lol.

I have not been to Michigan’s adventure in years. Looks like they have grown by leaps and bounds. We have so much fun we go there. I can’t wait to go back the next time I visit Michigan.

WOW, looks like a lot of fun. I love the Swan boats but the water rides would definitely be my favorite part of this park.

It looks like you guys had a fabulous time. It has been several years since we went to Michigan Adventures with the kids. I remember them riding the Geese/Ducks and going in circles a few times.

My kids are finally old enough this year to enjoy a place like this. We already went to a smaller kiddie-sized amusement park this year and plan on visiting a bunch more before the end of summer.
