My kids have another 4 weeks on the calendar before they head back to school. Do you know what that means? I’m hearing a whole lot of  “I’m bored“. We’ve hit the point in our summer break where we’ve done all the fun things (okay not all of them, but A LOT of them). I’ve overseen the making of slime, we’ve spent countless hours at the beach, played at endless playgrounds and yet there’s 4 more weeks before school starts.

We’re a device loving family, my kids spend time on their tablets daily. My 9 yr old is growing out of a few of the apps she currently has on her tablet. It was time for a new app, time to try out Spot It! Duel by Asmodee Digital. Often finding games that make her happy is a bit of a challenge. Many are geared towards younger kids or older kids and she’s hitting that pre-tween (yes, that’s a thing) age, her likes are developing.

Spot It! Duel is an offshoot of the fun-loving card game Spot It! , a fantastically great party favorite which encourages visual observation and perception skills during a fast paced game. You may even own it. Since debuting in 2009, the franchise has sold over 10 million units worldwide. And NOW you can play that same fast paced action on the Spot It! Duel app, the brands first-ever video game adaptation.

Racquel found Spot It! Duel to be a very easy game to learn on her tablet. She’s not a child of abundant patience and this was NO issue. The directions we’re easy to follow and prompted her along the way as she started playing. As she advanced through levels to her overall delight the difficulty increased, she likes a good challenge and wasn’t disappointed.

Let me breakdown the basics for your. You want to match symbols and build combos as quickly as possible with the help of your Dobble friends and his powers. There’s the option of playing with friends, family, or other players worldwide in multiplayer special events.

Fast reflexes and quick thinking are part of the learning curve. I heard a very loud “YES” from Racquel as she sat playing one day, apparently she’d earned a reward and moved up on the leaderboard…she was happy needless to say!

So, there ya have it, I solved one issue of the 4 remaining weeks until schools back in session. Now let me help you. You can download Spot It! Duel for FREE on both iOS and Android devices. I’m sure it’ll become a new family favorite.

Confession time…I’ve found myself turning off the TV and grabbing the tablet and getting a Spot It! Duel time in myself. Shhhh, that’s just between you and me! 🙂 Mama has a new favorite app!

This looks like such a fun game. I know my youngest grandchild will love this. I’m picky over what games I allow him to download on my tablet, but this one looks like a winner.

I think this is a perfect game. My son is always looking for something new to do and I know this will keep his mind occupied. I typically do not download many games under his iPad but I think he would love this one.

I have read quite a lot of reviews for this app. It does seem like a really good one for kids to play. I love that it is interactive and would allow multiple players into the game. I’m checking this out. It would be great for family game nights too.

I’ve been on a hunt for fun apps for the kids to play, all week. I’m so excited that I found this one. I love interactive apps like this, we’re a gaming family and I love that it brings the family together to play.
