Add a delicious touch to your next BBQ by making Pasta Salad with Bratwurst. Who says Bratwurst has to be in a bun? Enjoy it in this great side dish.

How can we already be enjoying the 2nd week of August? Didn’t summer and all of the amazing things it has to offer just arrive? Personally, I’m all for soaking up every last minute of amazing summer greatness. We just returned for a weekend of camping, beach time and an amusement park trip. Not only was the weather fantastic we enjoyed great times sitting around the campfire, grilling and just being outdoors.
Now that I’m home, I’m preparing to celebrate the annual Bratsgiving holiday on August 16th, National Bratwurst Day. Meijer stores in my home state of Michigan have partnered up with Johnsonville to celebrate Bratsgiving in their communities.
There’s even special Limited Time Only varieties of Johnsonville Bratwurst available at Meijer for the celebration of Bratsgiving. How do Jalapeño Cheddar and Firecracker Bratwurst sound? YES!!!
Of course, Bratwurst is a fun holiday celebrating all things Bratwurst, it is also a time to support others who are less fortunate. Meijer recently held a contest for Michigan residents to submit “wishes” for those that need it. With over 375 wishes submitted ultimately the winning wish was from a Comstock Township couple who wanted their Bratsgiving wish to bring joy to their local Fire & Rescue Department who unfortunately had lost their fire chief in the line of duty back in June.
We’re celebrating Bratsgiving by making Pasta Salad with Bratwurst. Nope, Bratwurst doesn’t have to be served on a bun to be enjoyed. Grill some up, cut into pieces and mix in with your favorite pasta salad ingredients.
I love eating this for lunch, and I use whatever ingredients my family enjoys. Mine gobbled this delicious dish up in record time! So tell me, what’s your favorite Johnsonville Bratwurst to grill?
