Froyo Fruit Cups are an easy snack that’s delish! Yogurt, frozen fruit & granola make the perfect after school snack that won’t ruin dinner.
Although this post is sponsored by Welch’s® Frozen Fruits, all opinions are my own.
Summer is quickly coming to end, the leaves are starting to change and autumn is poking its head around the corner. Everyone I know is thinking about apples and pumpkins, you know, the traditional fall flavors. I enjoy them as much as anyone else, but I miss berries when the colder seasons approach. Living in Michigan we have only a few short months to enjoy trips to the farmers’ market or you-pick farms for the seasons freshest produce. The rest of the year I rely heavily on frozen fruit and in particular, berries.
My family is a berry loving family! We could eat them for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, and dessert every single day! I’ve started purchasing Welch’s Frozen Fruits when I’m shopping at Meijer.
Welch’s Frozen Fruits come in a large 48 oz. resealable bag which is a huge convenience. Available in Blueberry Fusion, Tropical Blend, and Antioxidant Blend there’s a variety for everyone.
I already mentioned that my family is drawn to all things berry so buying Welch’s Antioxidant Blend was a smart choice. The Antioxidant Blend is loaded with: sliced strawberries, cultivated blueberries, dark sweet cherries, sour cherries, and blackberries! So much goodness in one bag! Now we’ve all been to the frozen food aisles in our favorite grocery stores, we’ve seen other brands of frozen fruit, in fact, I’m sure we’ve all purchased a bag or two.
Let me tell you why I really am enjoying Welch’s Frozen Fruit, the pieces of fruit are BIG, you can actually tell which fruit is which. No more big mush of berries in a bag, as soon as you open a bag of Welch’s Frozen Fruits you’ll definitely be impressed with the size and quality of the fruit within. The fruit is picked at the peak of freshness and frozen within a day or two. It hasn’t been sitting around somewhere getting mushy, no sir this is firm, naturally sweet fruit that’s delicious.
See those pieces of fruit? There’s no skimping here on quality or size, you won’t be disappointed. A couple of advantages that I like about purchasing Welch’s Frozen Fruits are obvious: no unnecessary waste, high quality and the convenience. How many times have you thrown fresh berries away that you just bought a day or two before? We all get busy, it happens to me all the time. No more worrying about that, I have fresh, big chunks of fruit conveniently located in my freezer. Plus the convenience, that’s huge. When my daughter comes home from college she’ll make one or two smoothies a day. I can easily keep her stocked up on a fantastic assortment of frozen fruit.
My younger kids come home from school and they want a snack. I’m trying to get dinner on the table, but you know kids…they can’t wait. I started prepping some tasty snacks on the weekend that I feel good about giving them and won’t spoil their appetite prior to dinner.
Froyo Fruit Cups sound like dessert but they aren’t. Simple to prepare using yogurt, Welch’s Frozen Fruit, and granola. Prep them on the weekend, serve them after school and keep the kids happy.
Froyo Fruit Cups have big pieces of fruit under creamy frozen layers of yogurt. As a topper, there’s a tiny crunch from granola. As an added yummy topper I drizzle a tiny bit of honey on before serving.
