Cherry Infused Bourbon is an amazing way to drink your favorite bourbon. Keeping its delish Bourbon flavor – the cherry just adds a touch of sweet!

Well, I’m at it again. I love taking normal drinks/boozes and bringing them to the next level. I especially like to do this if I’m having people over – casual or formal!
It’s so wonderful having a completely different take on a cocktail to serve friends/guests/family. It makes me look so fancy – which I LOVE!
The fun part about Cherry Infused Bourbon is that it is really easy to make. Infusing is just simple – especially when you use awesome fresh ingredients like cherries.
It’s not hard, and because you’re infusing not just adding the taste is so amazing. You’ll knock everyone’s socks off. I know this knocked mine off and I made it!
If you’ve ever drunk a Manhattan then you know that cherry and bourbon go together brilliantly. The cherry taste came through without overpowering the wonderful taste of bourbon.
I didn’t want to hide the bourbon flavor in Cherry Infused Bourbon, but I wanted both flavors to come through and I did! YEA!
A quick note – you’re going to want to either pit the cherries or cut them to make sure all of the flavors get in. That cuts down on the time you have to let the bourbon sit with the cherries so you can make yourself a cocktail faster!
I pit mine because I have an awesome cherry pitter (thanks, husband) and it’s easy. You could easily cut the cherries and get the same results.

This very well may be the best thing I’ve heard of in my LIFE! How am I just now hearing about it? Why have I never thought of it! For years, I’ve been begging every bartender in Chicago to pour some cherry juice into my Manhattans. I’m going to try this toute suite!
Heather
1 we need to be friends – because Chicago is my FAVORITE CITY! 😉 AND 2 – yes this was SO SO SO delicious 😉 I’m old school manhattans should have cherries and a small bit of juice – no lemon 😉
Amy
Are they the tart cherries or sweet like bing cherries? Thanks and this sounds amazing!
Heather
I used regular bing cherries – although tart might be fun too! SO GOOD

I’m planning for my husband’s birthday gifts to be a bottle of bourbon, bourbon brittle and making your cherrie infused bourbon …. this would be great. I’ll tell our kids to also send him a bottle so he’ll have a Merry Bourbon Birthday.
I’ve made bourbon pretzels that were very good.
My question is, can I soak a second batch in the liquid after the cherries are eaten? Can I do the same with fresh figs?
Do you have any $50 bourbon you would recommend ?
