I think that when you finally embrace the fact that you are a grown up and have to clean your own house, you become obsessed with finding the perfect vacuum cleaner. Am I alone in this? I know I’ve had conversations with my friends to find which vacuum I should buy next – so I can’t be completely alone!
I recently heard about the Hoover Cordless Vacuum line. Did you hear that? Cordless. No replugging to get the house vacuumed. No tangled up with the cords, no running over the cords, I was sort of in love before I even set eyes on the vacuum! There are 4 cordless cleaners to choose from so you can find the best fit for your house—3 vacuums and a hard floor wet cleaner
You can make fun of my housewiveyness as much as you want – I have no shame in my game about being excited about a vacuum. The holidays are upon us and between wrapping presents, cooking and of course the eating, my floors need to be vacuumed about daily (hey – not just me I have 3 sons and a husband!). So the idea of a light weight, but totally awesome vacuum with no cord? Yup sign me up. It’s a Hoover – it has Windtunnel 3 technology provides performance which provides suction power to lift and remove dirt (I said I have 3 sons – I need to get rid of dirt a lot).
My Hoover Air Cordless vacuum came with a lithium rechargable battery (true fact…LithiumLife batteries have double the capacity of our standard 18-volt lithium Ion batteries which means longer runtime and fade-free power). It really holds a charge. I was afraid that it would vacuum for 5 minutes and be done – nope – it keeps going! Can totally get the whole house done. Another bonus is that it has the detachable hand vacuum built in. It’s perfect for that busy household (like mine) and the whole thing is helping me keep my floors great for those last minute guests coming over. It’s the holidays – people are always popping in and I need my house to look nice! Thank you Hoover!
Before we move on to a tasty treat (that is totally sure to leave crumbs on your floor so you can use your new fancy cordless Hoover Air vacuum) tell me how you keep your houses looking nice during the holidays? What’s your tricks? Tips?
A sure way to test out a vacuum’s skills is to make some sort of cookie and then let my family eat them. I am guaranteed crumbs from small to large all over my floor. And, I needed to test out some new holiday treats anyways. My husband’s absolute favorite cookie is just a plain old chocolate chip. He also is in love with anything peanut butter. I wanted to combine the flavors in a super fun and super good way. That’s how I came up with Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwiches. It’s a simple cookie to make, my husbands favorite flavors and it’s a wow treat for the holidays!
- 1 batch of chocolate chip cookies baked and cooled
- 12 ounces cream cheese
- 1 1/2 C peanut butter (creamy works best)
- 1 C powdered sugar
- Melting chocolate (fun color for the holidays is best!)
- Mix together cream cheese, peanut butter and sugar until smooth
- Melt chocolate by package instructions
- Using 2 cookies, make sandwiches with the peanut butter mix being the filling
- Dip into chocolate and let cool on wax paper until chocolate hardens
- (use sprinkles if you like)
