Blogger of the Week #61

Welcome to Arman ~ his site, pictures and everything are amazing – be sure to go over and tell him “hi” from Who Needs a Cape?  Arman – thanks for doing this with us! ~ Heather

Your Website?G’day readers of Who Needs a Cape (just want to chime in and say this is one epic blog name). My name is Arman and I’m the blogger over at A healthy living and lifestyle blog.

When did you start blogging? I started blogging in 2013 after being pushed by my sister to do so. She’d been an avid reader in the healthy living community for ages and thought I could lend a masculine voice to it. She also thought it would be a good outlet for me to share my recipe experimentations with the world (I think she was sick of me force feeding her the flops!

What’s your favorite thing you have published? On my blog, I publish delicious healthy recipes, discuss topics regarding diet and nutrition and aspects of life and the crazy world of blogging.

My favorite recipe would be these Greek Yogurt Chocolate Brownies which are one of my standard weekly recipes (I often eat them for breakfast with eggs!) or my copycat Kind Bars– These save me a ton of money when it comes to snacking!

My favorite non-recipe post would be Digestive Issues- It’s time to blame the vegetables. So often, many blame gluten or carbohydrates for digestive discomfort but they fail to realize they are eating enough broccoli to feed a family of ten. Daily.

Bloggers you love? I often find the Healthy Living Blogger’s community can at times be detrimental in terms of messages being portrayed. Eating Disorders are a serious and prevalent issue and unfortunately, there are some bloggers out there who are sending the incorrect message. Fortunately, there are many out there who advocate a positive body image and are living proof that there is life beyond an eating disorder.

These three bloggers are Sam from Better with Sprinkles, Alison from Daily Moves and Grooves and Chelsea from Chelsea’s Healthy Kitchen.

Biggest flop? These pumpkin cheesecake muffins took 5 attempts to get right and let’s just say the kitchen never looked the same…or that poor muffin tin.

Biggest success? This cake batter oatmeal not only tastes like cake batter but also has the texture of cake batter- something that took forever to get the ingredient proportions correct!

Thank you so much to Bevan, Heather, Lori, Rebecca and Sherry for featuring me- Feel free to stop by The Big Man’s World and let’s be friends on Facebook! Cheers!

Thank YOU Arman – this is wonderful!!!! ~Heather
