This week we are bringing you Kris – she’s awesome you’re going to love her! Go over and say “hello” from Who Needs a Cape right away! ~ Heather
Your Website? Big Rigs ‘n Lil’ Cookies I mainly blog recipes, but I get in some other parts of our life with the occasional ride along in the semi. Snippits of the country life are always in the mix, which covers raising chickens to gardening.
When did you start blogging? I started blogging in 2011, but changed names this year so had to move everything over to Big Rigs ‘n Lil’ Cookies. When I started I really didn’t know what direction it would go. I had just moved out to the country after many years of city, then town life. Blogging was initially a way to keep me connected to the outside world.
What’s your favorite thing you have published? My favorites are always family recipes that I have been making for years. There is more than one of those, so I will have to say my Baked Ham Balls. http://www.bigrigsnlilcookies.
Bloggers you love? Hard to narrow this list down! There are so many fabulous bloggers, my Bloglovin’ list is huge! Ann from “From My Sweetheart“. Ann makes the most beautiful baked goods, and she presents them in a way that makes you know that you can do this! Mandy from South Your Mouth … She’s just awesome, and helps me get dinner on the table so many nights! Donika from Mom! What’s for Dinner? has been such an inspiration. Her recipes have me trying new foods, and I am proud to say I have made several of her Burek recipes!
Biggest flop? Biggest success? Biggest success is a recent one, my Chocolate Bliss Cake. I love it when a recipe turns out so good, you are just “wow”! Biggest Flop? That would have to be in some of my early bread attempts. They never made it to the blog, but I think the term “hockey puck” would be appropriate. Some batches of bread were only good enough to go to the chicken coop, and others weren’t even suitable for the chickens!
Those baked ham balls look AMAZING! YUM Thanks to Kris for doing this with us!
