I hope you like this next blogger as much as I do! Becca’s website is awesome and you must check it out (be sure to tell her you dropped by from Who Needs a Cape while you are there!!!) ~ Heather
My website is ItsYummi.com
I started blogging in 2011, while I was in culinary school. I wrote a blog for the school called “Fox in the Kitchen”. Around that same time, I was being asked by friends and family to write down the recipes for things that I had learned to make in my culinary classes, so I started my own blog, which I called “It’s Yummilicious”. After 2 years of writing my blog posts as a hobby, I decided to make it a full-time income, so in August of 2013, I changed the blog’s name and registered it as a legal business, under the name “It’s Yummi!”
I’ve published stories on my site about dealing with depression and loss of a loved one that I hope will help others who’ve experienced that kind of pain, but this one is my favorite.
I have so many food bloggers that I adore, asking me to choose a favorite is a bit unfair. It’s sort of like asking a mom which kid they like best 😉
Here are a few who’s photography and recipes totally blow me away and leave me inspired:
Kristen from Dine & Dish
David from Spiced Blog
Ashley from Center Cut Cook
Chris from Shared Appetite
My biggest published flop was this DISASTER of a banana cake. There are plenty more disasters that never made it to the blog!
I’ve written a few recipes solely from scratch that I’m really proud of. My Nutella Mousse Pie and my “5 can 15 minutes” Sweet & Spicy Bratwurst Chili are two of my favorites.
My favorite holiday cookie recipe is my blackberry linzer cookies. They’re SO delicious and make such a stunning appearance on a holiday cookie platter!
