I am not a big wine drinker, but Sangria is one of my favorite adult beverages. The Sangria I make isn’t a traditional one so much with brandy, but one I have adapted over the years.  It really changes each time I make it depending on my mood.  I love the sweet tartness of the Sangria with the fresh fruit juices.

It is super easy to make and you can add so many different things to suit your palate.  Mine is mainly citrus fruits and juices, but fruits like apples and pears are pretty common as well.  They tend to soak up the liquid a bit more. Sangria can be served over ice or chilled (my preference because I don’t like it watered down).  I used a bottle of red wine I have had sitting around for quite a while now, but if you want to make it more authentic then you may want to look for a true Sangria wine from Spain.
