Blogger of the Week #25

Sharing is caring!

Can’t believe we’ve been doing this for 25 weeks!  Thanks to everyone who has participated!  LOVE THIS!

This week we’re bringing you Nicole from  365(ish) Days of Pinterest 🙂  Thanks Nicole for answering our questions!  And everyone make sure to go over and say “hi” from Who Needs a Cape! ~ Heather

When did you start blogging?  I started blogging in June of 2012, but I moved to WP and started trying to make something of my site in March of 2013.

What’s your favorite thing you have published?  That’s like asking which child is my favorite! One of my most open and honest posts was about how a Pinterest project helped save my marriage. It’s not my typical kind of post, but my blog was the outlet I needed at the time (even though at that time the only people reading were family and friends) 🙂 favorite would have to be Smores-Cookieswhen I finally reached 365 days and was looking back at the year. I shake my head at some of the photos and the way I organized posts, but you live and learn, right? At that point I was just starting to learn what this whole blogging thing could really become. I like to go back down memory lane. OK, last one- a more recent favorite, just because I LOVE cookies and was happy with my photos in this post S’more Cookies!

Bloggers you love? I just love Amy from One Artsy Mama. I claim her as my blogging mentor, even though, technically, she’s mentored several of us now through her Grow Your Blog course. That’s where I learned the ins and outs of blogging and how to really grow my corner of the internet. 🙂 I also love the SITS girls. I got to meet them at Women Get Social in San Diego and it’s a great group of ladies who really know their stuff! Their website is a great resource for me. If I started naming food or crafty bloggers, I’d leave someone out, so let’s just say I spend a lot of time reading other people’s stuff. 🙂

Biggest flop?  Biggest success?  This one made me laugh. Doing 365+ days of pins leaves room for LOTS of flops. But the most “Pinterest Fail” centered post was this attempt at making candy corn cobs for Thanksgiving. My most successful post as far as numbers go is How to Clean your Slow Cooker. It was one of those posts that I just kind of tossed together and didn’t have much hope for, but Pinterest loves it! It’s been pinned 118,000 times, which for me, is huge! 🙂

^We’re all about cleaning our crock pots!  LOVE LOVE LOVE this Nicole – we are so glad you joined us!  ~Heather

  1. I was one of the 118,000 + pinners! Who doesn’t want a clean crock pot? Love 365(ish) Days of Pinterest! Great feature.

  2. It’s so nice to learn more about Nicole! And I LOVE the tip on cleaning the slow cooker. Mine is usually a mess!
