This week we’re bringing you Cindy from Hun What’s for Dinner? Love her 😉 Thanks for doing this Cindy!
My favourite recipe, I’ve ever published is my Mini Chocolate-Cherry Flourless Cakes. These cakes were SO delicious and I am very proud of how beautiful the final plating is. Plus, this recipe and photo was featured in Bridal Tribe Magazine.
During my 5 yr journey, I’ve met SO MANY amazing bloggers and have developed so many friendships. A wonderful group of ladies I met in a cooking contest, have now become some of my closest friends. We bonded over food! Jeanine from The Baking Beauties and Lyndsay from The Kitchen Witch, are two bloggers I’ve been lucky enough to meet and develop a life long friendship with. Marisa from Tasty Delights, is another blogger in this close knit Canadian group that I will be friends with for ever.
Just recently I joined forces with some awesome U.S bloggers, which I had always admired from afar, but had never had the chance to connect and get to know better. These ladies are amazing and even before we teamed up together I was already a fan of Crumbs in my Mustachio, Baking in a Tornado, Manila Spoon, Cooking from a SAHM, Moore or Less Cooking Blog, The Rowdy Baker and Lemony Thyme. We also recruited a wonderful cake baker and helped her launch her brand new blog Tampa Cake Girl. There are many more, but these two groups of women are very near and dear to my heart and are my best cheerleaders in the blogging world!
I don’t always have home runs in my kitchen. My biggest flop has to be a Quinoa Pilaf I tried making, when I first started blogging. I was trying to multi task, with the kiddos underfoot and I forgot to rinse my quinoa. Try as we may, we could not eat the pilaf. It was horribly bitter. I haven’t cooked quinoa since then LOL.
My biggest success would have to be the wonderful New York Cheesecake recipe I made, from Crumbs in My Mustachio. Try as I may, every baked cheesecake I’ve ever made was either too dry or not set enough. Plain cheesecake with berries is my Hubby’s favourite, so it broke my heart that I couldn’t make a proper one. Well this one was perfect! Creamy, luxurious and my Hubby LOVED it!!
Thank you so much to the wonderful ladies of Who Needs a Cape, for letting me share a little more about myself, with all of you!!
Cindy – thank YOU for doing this! We love it;) ~ Heather
