I hear you…what’s different about this Shrimp Cocktail? Well, I’ll tell you! Roasting the shrimp? Oh, you’re going to love it. It’s not the same old Shrimp Cocktail it’s a Roasted Shrimp Cocktail! You’re going to be obsessed with this and won’t be able to get enough…don’t say I didn’t warn you!

I LOVE serving Shrimp at the holidays…don’t get me wrong my husband and I have Shrimp for Dinner on a LOT of Friday nights with a cocktail, but there is a magic at the holidays of having a beautiful shrimp tray sitting on your table. Everyone loves it.

Since I host a lot of our family Christmas’s they have gotten spoiled by me (yes I said it!) because I always whip out lovely Roasted Shrimp Cocktail. But, let’s be honest…this is awesome at any dinner party, Easter, a cocktail hour or just about any occasion you can think of. So much fun – I love having a recipe in my back pocket that’s good for just about anything.

Roasted Shrimp Cocktail

Roasted Shrimp Cocktail

Ingredients

  • For the shrimp:
  • 2 pounds uncooked shrimp
  • 1 tablespoon good olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • squeeze of lemon
  • For the sauce:
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 4 tablespoons horseradish
  • 3 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/3 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400℉. Prepare the shrimp and put them on a sheet pan with the olive oil, salt, and pepper and spread them in 1 layer. Roast for 8 to10 minutes. Set aside to cool. Just before serving give a squeeze of lemon over the shrimp. For the sauce, combine the chili sauce, ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce. Serve as a dip with the shrimp.
