The last few weeks have FINALLY been summer weather for me. After weeks of rain and not being able to use my grill, I am READY to get out there and have some summer food. Nothing says summer food to me like a fantastic burger right? It’s the best! So burgers…My problem with burgers is well I need to eat healthy. I’ve been adding things like fish into my diet and dropping some of the red meat. While struggling with this need to eat summer burgers and trying to keep my diet on track I discovered Trident Seafoods® Wild Alaskan Pollock Burgers! Exactly what I was looking for! I Dared to Swap my Burger!
I was shopping at Costco looking for my burger fix and I saw the Trident Seafoods® Wild Alaskan Pollock Burgers in the freezer section. I was intrigued – I love fish, but have really never had a fish burger. You guys. I’m not joking. You need to RUN to Costco and pick up your own – they are DELICIOUS! I love them. I get to satisfy my burger fix and lose 178% less fat, 94% less Calories, 25% less Cholesterol (compared to beef burgers). They are also SO simple to make. No extra steps just delish burgers.

So just so I’m describing Trident Seafoods® Wild Alaskan Pollock Burgers correctly – a couple of things. Pollock is super mild so if you’re afraid of fishy tasting – or really strong fish flavors – you’re in luck – none of that here. Think cod flavor – super yum. Plus Pollock is full of Omega-3’s which we all know has so many health benefits that we all need to eat more (to name a few improving brain function, heart health, and even memory – plus there are so many more benefits!).
Ok on to my delicious version of burger – you’re going to love this! First you’re going to need:
- 1 Trident Seafoods® Wild Alaskan Pollock Burger
- grilled pineapple slices
- 2 T avocado, mashed
- 1 T mayonnaise
This is so easy. So…
- Prepare Trident Seafoods® Wild Alaskan Pollock Burger according to package directions. I grilled mine.
- To make Avocado Mayo, mix together mashed avocado and mayonnaise. Use immediately.
- Assemble burgers as follows: bottom bun, lettuce, grilled pineapple slices, Trident Seafoods® Wild Alaskan Pollock Burger, and top bun with Avocado Mayo spread on it.
I just ate this and looking at these pictures and talking about Trident Seafoods® Wild Alaskan Pollock Burgers is making me hungry AGAIN!
