Patriotic Parfaits | Who Needs A Cape?

The most patriotic holidays of the year are approaching: Memorial Day and the 4th of July!  To help celebrate I’m sharing an easy Patriotic Parfait that can start the day off with some red, white, and blue! These parfaits can be whipped together in a just a couple of minutes and would work well for busy holiday mornings.  Just layer the ingredients and pop a cut-out sugar cookie star atop…EASY!

In our small town there’s a parade right through downtown on each of these holiday mornings!  A patriotic presentation of our homeland, our veterans and small town pride.  We always head out with the kids and line up on the parade route.  My eldest daughter is in the marching band for our local high school, so on top of being a proud American, I also get to wear the proud mom hat too!  And of course, the little girls love the police cars, firetrucks, the candy which is thrown and the overall excitement!

Lining the parade route does mean an early morning even on a day off.  Which is why these Patriotic Parfaits are great for the kids, they can even eat them in the car riding to the parade. Or if you are heading out to a picnic, they pack well in resealable containers that fit nicely in the cooler.

What I also like about these, is not only are they yummy, they have healthy ingredients (yes, aside from the White Chocolate Chips, but it is a holiday, right?), and you can add whatever you have on hand.  If you have raspberries, by all means, add those or blackberries even, yum!  So get out there & enjoy these upcoming patriotic holidays with a little red, white and blue yumminess!
