1. Your Website?

My name is Kathrin and I am writing my Blog on http://gingerlemonandspice.com . I write about food and recipes all over the world, I even have a special series called ‘Around the World, Week by Week’ in which I feature food, drinks of different categories of a featured country for a whole week. Also I am doing a bit about sewing (my other hobby) and other DIY stuff.  Buttermilch Banane

2. When did you start blogging?

I wrote my first official post on the 1st of January 2013. It wasn’t really a New Year’s resolution thing, but I wanted to have a blog for so long and couldn’t find the courage, because I thought everything had to be perfect. On that day I decided to just go for it and learn the how on my way! I can just encourage everyone to do the same! It hasn’t to be perfect from the beginning, it is a chance to grow into your own thing!

3. What’s your favorite thing you have published?

I really love the ‘Around the World’ – Series. It is something I put my whole heart into because I found homes away from home in so many places during my travels and I enjoy to discover new cultures and meet new people. I want to share my experiences with anyone who wants to take part and introduce those beautiful countries to you! You can click on the link to read more about it: http://gingerlemonandspice.com/2013/07/around-the-world/

4. Bloggers you love?

Joy the baker (http://joythebaker.com/) introduced me to the world of blogging, her blog was the first one I ever read, and I still do today. I even have her cookbook on my shelf 😉
Donal Skeehan (http://www.donalskehan.com/) is blogger from Ireland, a country that feels like a second home to me. He does all sorts of things, has his own TV shows and books and is an excellent photographer. He is very talented!
Of course there are so many blogs I love and read regularly, too many to write them down here. Just click on my FB page (https://www.facebook.com/gingerlemonandspice) and you can see lots of them! I am also co-hosting the Foodie Parties page on FB (https://www.facebook.com/FoodieParties) and all the bloggers there are so engaged!

5. Biggest flop? Biggest success?  Seafood Chowder 2

Well, the easier one first: My biggest success was definitly my post including the recipe for last years (untraditional) birthday cake I decided to serve to my guests: Buttermilk Banana Bread! Find it here: http://gingerlemonandspice.wordpress.com/2013/03/01/buttermilk-banana-bread-birthday-cake-no-1/ . I really love this recipe too and just happenend to make it last weekend for a wedding I was invited to!

My biggest flop – that is really hard to say. I don’t really have a flop as I just love what I do for myself, and if there are people that like it too, that’s even better. But if I am the only one who likes it, than that’s fine with me too 😉
But there is one recipe I think that didn’t get enough of the love out there: My Speedy Shrimp Pasta. (http://gingerlemonandspice.wordpress.com/2013/02/04/speedy-shrimp-pasta/) Well, I have to admit, the pictures aren’t the most pretty ones in the world but this dish is sooooo delicious, I make it very often and it is definitily by far the one recipe that I have done again the most!
