Dining Room-Whats Ur Home Story

Your Website? www.whatsurhomestory.com

When did you start blogging?  Started blogging in Jan 2012. I had been following quite a few home decor /DIY blogs for some years and had mustered enough courage to DIY things around the home. My thought process behind starting the blog was that if I’ve been inspired by others to unleash my creativity then now it was my turn to pass it along. For the last 2 + years I’ve been posting 5 times a week churning out one project after the other and loving every bit of it. Now can’t even imagine doing anything else.DIY Water Garden-Whats Ur Home Story

What’s your favorite thing you have published?  Though I love and stand by every post I’ve written my hands down favorite has got be my container water garden. For last 3 summers I’ve set up the water garden on my deck, even had
fish in it much to the joy of every guest to our home. Feels absolutely great to see my readers and every person who visits the blog enjoy and love it as much as I do.

Bloggers you love?  Oh, that’s gonna be a very long list. I follow close to 50 – 60 blogs religiously. I do have to add that I’m a die-hard Young House Love fan.

Biggest flop? This one is pretty close to my heart, the Pinterest inspired Vintage Lace Chandelier fail. I wanted it to work so badly as it would have been perfect for our reading/ playing nook upstairs. I’m not ready to give up on it yet, planning to try my luck once more with that project. Hopefully second time is the charm.

Biggest success?  My first ever stenciling project, an 11 hour marathon. Yes, it was hard but it was totally worth. Absolutely love the tone on tone stencil effect in our dining room

Thanks again to Vidya!  I’m always jealous of you handy/crafty types 😉  So here’s a few of my favorite things she has done – you have to see the chair transformation and you have to go over and look at her amazing gardening ideas/tips!  ~ Heather

  1. Thank you for featuring me, Heather!

My question is: I do not eat pork or beef so, I would adjust these recipes to accomodate the protein/meat selections? My other question is there a way or recipes that incorporate fish */or seafood?
